Letter to President Connolly

The Fed’s District President Martin Mulligan has written to the Irish President, Catherine Connolly, as she took office as the country’s 10th President.
Connolly was elected to the largely ceremonial role in a landslide vote at the end of October.
Martin Mulligan – District President, as well as a retailer based in Athlone in County Westmeath – highlighted the work of Fed members across Ireland stating: “represent thousands of independent retailers and newsagents across Ireland, play a vital role in local communities, often serving as the cornerstone of neighbourhood life…please accept our sincere congratulations.”
