The Federation of Independent Retailers met with North Antrim MP and True Unionist Voice Party leader Jim Allister on Thursday 11th November. They discussed a local planning matter affecting a business in his constituency, as well as wider concerns about issues facing independent retailers in Northern Ireland and across the UK.
Gwen Patterson said: “It was a really positive meeting. We discussed concerns about rising costs including business taxes, a higher national living wage and retail crime and more.
“The Fed looks forward to working with Mr. Allister in the future. If you would be interested in arranging a meeting with your MP in Northern Ireland, or speaking to your representative elsewhere in the UK or the Republic of Ireland, do please get in touch by contacting our Political Engagement Coordinator at douglas.oliver@nfrn.org.uk”
